Is there a setup fee?
There is a sign-up fee of £25. This includes a 30-minute consultation to gauge your English and discuss what your aims are, and to work out a lesson plan. Also covers all the registration paperwork.
Contract?
Yes, we have a short contract. And we guarantee all our classes 100%. If there is any issue that we cannot resolve to your satisfaction you will receive a full refund.
What if I need to cancel?
Please give us at least 24 hours notice and we can make the lesson another time. With less than 24 hours notice we do have to charge for the class, unfortunately, as it can be difficult at short notice to reschedule the tutor to another student.

Where are you based?
In the City (near Farringdon) and in North London.
Where are lessons held?We come to your workplace, or to your home, or to a third space if you prefer, anywhere really where you feel comfortable to learn.
How long is a lesson?The standard is an hour, but we do blocks of up to three hours. This can be useful if you want to invite others to join or if you want to get some intensive work done, say for an exam, or for an interview.
How far in advance do I need to book?You can book up to one year in advance, or with as short notice as one day. To ensure we have a tutor free for you, at least one week in advance is best.
Can I book just one lesson?Six is the minimum number of lessons that can be booked. This allows you to consolidate your skills and make fast, measurable progress. We know you have things to do out there! But remember we have our special 100% guarantee, so if you are unhappy with your class and you want to cancel, you can, no problem.
Can I have a discount if I book multiple lessons?Yes. Book more than ten and you get 10% off. Book more than twenty and this goes up to 20%!
How long do I have to use up my hours?One year, though in practice no-one has ever faced this issue.
What if I want to change my tutor?No problem. Call us and we’ll do what we can to make the change.
Will I need to buy course material?Some. But it depends on what your focus is. Many resources are easy to duplicate and access (as we write them), so any costs will be quite low.
Do you arrange extracurricular activities?Funny you should ask, yes we do. First up is a visit to the pictures, to see the last-ever performance of Monty Python screened live in cinemas around the nation in July. Half of British humour was invented by these guys. Sit and marvel, sit and laugh, sit and drink fermented hop drinks. It will be great. After that, more summer excursions and some meetups around London off the beaten track.
